RFID has the potential to revolutionize the supply chain, logistics and retail industries by streamlining existing processes, introducing new efficient procedures, and providing new levels of inventory visibility with accountability between suppliers and retailers. 

For current customers, the Wavelink product portfolio allows end-users and developers to capitalize on their existing investments.  Custom applications developed using Studio can now be enhanced with new library functions that make use of mobile RFID interrogator devices.  Host-based applications, such as those which utilize the Emulation family of products can now be enhanced through new extensions for RFID.  Using this unique combination of RFID and barcode technologies allows for much greater flexibility than with traditional RFID development systems.

In addition, for customers developing entirely new solutions for RFID, extensions for RFID are now offered through the Wavelink Industrial Browser.  Client-side scripts may now invoke common JavaScript library functions to retrieve and process additional data present in RFID tags.

Furthermore, because the interface to the RFID interrogator is implemented through Wavelink's vendor independent application programming interface, the investment in design and coding the implementation is preserved.
